This calms my record down and makes it more stable.

The belt came off 30 seconds after I starting using it… I have contacted Andover about it, they said someone would call and walk me through fixing it… so far, after a week, no one has called. Almost $4000 for the full setup and I can’t even use it.

I love music. I'm 77. I lost my husband, my world 2 years ago today. Beyond the my faith and the love of family and friends, music is what gets me through the dark days. I bought this expensive but wonderful piece as a gift from my husband to me.

I can turn it on, listen to the beautiful music, poetry, hopes, dreams and sorrows and they can transport me to days over my life and those we used during pain during his end. I love this beautiful piece of furniture and how well as self contained unit finally can work in the 21st century. The way the vinyl sounds which is so familiar over my lifetime and the joy it brings me is such a relief through the horror of grief of a spouse. How can anything be more valuable.

I bought Paul McCartney's newest album as my first new vinyl. He spoke me about those days we've left behind as he did through our love and my husband's ultimate passing. I've mostly purchased vintage. I love all the music from the 60s and 70s and plenty from beyond and prior. I love classical music as it can lift my spirits although I adore lyrics. I love blues and story songs, and soundtracks and new music and music from the 40s that lifted people through war. I like some country, hip hop and yes rap and cut my teeth on folk as music grew beyond moon and June. I simply love most all music.

It's all been a huge blessing. I looked at all the good components and was close to buying then saw the Andover one piece and read the reviews. I am thankful to the artists, engineers and everyone else it took to make this fine piece of furniture and the wonderful people who engineered the turntable, speakers and subwoofer. It was shipped so quickly and so well. It's heavy but once you get it out of the box other than removing the careful packing it's ready to play. That suits an old woman. So did the space and appearance and yet the sound moves through my high ceilings and into large rooms.

One of our grandchildren is going to inherit this piece. I have jewelry and treasures that hang on walls and others that sit on shelves, enough to be passed around a few times but if I were them I would hope beyond hope that this, while not the most expensive would have my name on it. I will die with the fabulous thrilling music I was fortunate enough to have as the soundtrack to my long life. This was the perfect way to listen to all of it during the last chapters. I am beyond pleased with my purchase.

Sounds AMAZING and was easy to set up!

I had been going back and forth literally for a year or since it's debut I finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale for prime week.
I have 0 regrets, is it my end of the line, absolutely not yet I have 0 regrets. I have longing for true separation and highER fidelity but this is perfect for my current situation.
The low end is surprisingly strong and the separation is doubly delightful.
YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED even if a good review might raise your hopes, it won't lessen them

what an amazing bluetooth speaker! Great stereo sound, bilateral charging for phone, extremely well built and easy to carry. Charges quickly and charge lasts for up to 24 hours. Connects seamlessly to my iPhone upon start up. Please keep making portable products as I have never had a better experience with any bluetooth speaker and is now my favourite go to speaker. Simply amazing!

As a self proclaimed audiophile since the 70s, I have truly missed the depth and clarity of music while streaming on portable speakers. I have tried bose,jbl and numerous others over the years to no avail. I can honestly say that to my ears the freeplay provides what I have been missing! It has plenty of volume and bass you can feel. I have been using both inside and out for streaming. Great for both! I can add that if I want to crank some Black Sabbath, my neighbors get to enjoy it as well. Kudos to all the good folks at Andover. Thank you!

Love it. It moans when the turntable starts moving. I'm told that's okay.

I've had the SpinBase Max 2 for a month and a half now and am loving it. It combined with the SpindDeck 2 make for a great pairing and fairly compact system. It's nice having speakers that are centralized and fill out a room well. The interface is simple and easy to use. It accommodates many options but is not overly complex. Bluetooth is great when I'm missing an album on vinyl. I picked up the black combo and they look fantastic together.

I can say I have found that playing vinyl calms the mood after and long day. For me it was well worth the investment and look forward to many laidback evenings ahead.

Andover makes some very nice product. If you are in the market give them ago. You will be happy you did.

After half a decade of using the OG Spindeck, I found that i wanted something a little more advanced and at least semi-automatic. Enter the Spindeck 2. Honestly, it's everything I'm looking for in a turntable. Excellent warm sound, automatic tone arm return at the end, a quick switch flip to play 45 RPM records. It was quick to set up and everything works without issue. My Spinbase 2 Max will be here Monday and I can't wait!

Love my Spinplay. Records sound amazing on it and even though true stereo sound isn’t possible, you can still hear the effect happening on it. I listened to Diesel Power by The Prodigy on it and holy cow it was powerful. The Spinplay is very easy to use and upgrade if you wish. I’m not an expert so I’m good with how it sounds out of the box. It is literally plug and play since Andover adjusts the settings like skate and arm balance before it ships.

I truly wanted to like the Andover FreePlay. I came into it with higher expectations than the average Bluetooth speaker buyer, given my experience with higher-end audio including the Focal Solo6 ST6, Adam D3V, KEF LS50 Wireless, and DALI IO-12. My goal was to bring a more HiFi-oriented listening experience to camping, kayaking, the backyard, beach, kitchen, etc.

Unfortunately, the FreePlay falls short of what I expected from its HiFi positioning, particularly at its current price.

My biggest issue is the low end. The speaker feels noticeably constrained in the bass, and music with substantial low-frequency content can sound thin and compressed as a result. This is especially apparent with electronic, hip-hop, and other full-range recordings. I actually find the JBL Boombox 3/4 more enjoyable for this type of listening. Their tuning is certainly more consumer-oriented, but they provide a much stronger sense of scale, bass impact, and dynamics.

The FreePlay performs better with acoustic music, vocals, pop, and softer rock, particularly at moderate or lower volumes. However, I don't feel it provides enough additional resolution, refinement, or tonal sophistication to offset its limitations. At higher volumes, the presentation can also become somewhat forward and harsh.

Build quality is generally good, and I really like the aesthetic. It looks at home in a variety of environments and feels thoughtfully designed. My particular unit did have a few minor finish blemishes that I wouldn't expect at this price, however.

For a future V2, I'd love to see Andover focus on four areas:

More cabinet volume and effortless low end. I'd happily accept a somewhat larger enclosure if it allowed deeper, more convincing bass while staying under roughly 18 lbs.
A more refined driver/tweeter system. A smoother, more effortless presentation would better support the HiFi positioning, especially at higher volumes.
Better fit and finish/QC. The construction is solid, but the overall design and finishing currently fall a little short of what I'd expect at this price.
Modern high-quality connectivity. USB-C lossless and/or LDAC would be welcome, although driver refinement is by far the bigger priority for me.

Ultimately, I don't think the FreePlay is a bad speaker. I think it's caught in an awkward middle ground: it's priced and positioned for listeners who may expect a genuinely HiFi-oriented experience, while some of its fundamental limitations feel more typical of a conventional portable Bluetooth speaker.

For me, SQ is the priority, and I'm not particularly brand-loyal. The FreePlay simply leaves me wanting more in bass extension, dynamics, tonality, and overall refinement.

At around $260, I'd find the proposition considerably more compelling. Even then, I'd primarily recommend it to listeners who value its aesthetic and mostly listen to conventional music at moderate volumes. For listeners who prioritize full-range impact, dynamics, transient performance, and a wide variety of music, there are limitations here that are difficult to overlook.

2 stars for me—not because the FreePlay is a terrible speaker, but because I don't think its performance justifies its current price or HiFi-oriented positioning. I'd genuinely love to see Andover make the jump with a V2.

The SpinPlay has been everything I hoped for. Easy to use, Terrific sound and very portable! I’ve rediscovered the joy of my vinyl. There’s something about removing the album from the sleeve looking at the album cover and placing the disc on the turntable that turns listening to music into a special treat, not just a tap on your phone.
The SpinPlay is also a great Bluetooth speaker so it’s not a one trick pony!
Kudos to Andover Audio, a job well done!

Easy to setup and looks great, only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because you can't see the whole vinyl when you put it in the frame.

The looks are everything here. I've been holding off on getting a new record player/storage setup forever because nothing matched my space aesthetically. The Andover-One stand paired with the player and sub-woofer are just as pleasant to look at as they are to hear.
