How do records not skip on the Andover-One SB, even with a speaker underneath the turntable?

The Andover-One SB is purpose-built to prevent skipping—even with powerful speakers housed directly beneath the turntable. At the heart of its design is Andover’s patented IsoGroove™ technology, which isolates the turntable from internal vibrations that typically cause skipping or feedback. The platter sits on a floating platform mechanically decoupled from the speaker cabinet, using isolation grommets and dampers to ensure stable playback at any volume.

Additional vibration control comes from a dense MDF chassis with layered construction, internal bracing, and acoustic dampening. Side-firing subwoofers and a built-in DSP deliver deep, controlled bass while avoiding the low-frequency rumble that can disrupt playback.

How can the Andover-One SB outperform a traditional high-end component setup?

The Andover-One SB delivers true audiophile sound—without the complexity, clutter, or cost of a multi-component system. Instead of piecing together amps, speakers, cartridges, and cables, you get a fully integrated system that’s expertly tuned and ready to perform in any room.

Inside, you’ll find premium components: dual direct-drive amps for clean signal flow, AMT tweeters for crisp highs, and four high-excursion woofers for tight bass and accurate playback. The built-in phono preamp and speaker amps are perfectly matched in-house, giving you high-end performance without the guesswork.

Is the Andover-One SB easy to set up?

Absolutely. Just plug in your turntable using the phono input (with built-in preamp) or the line-in, depending on your setup. No extra gear. No messy wiring. Just pure, great sound—right out of the box.

The long and short of it is that I am very happy with the Andover-One SB.

Once I had it set up and started spinning vinyl I knew I made the right decision. Prior to the SB I had the Spin Base Max 2 and was happy with that as well but the SB has opened up a whole new listening experience for me. The detail
of the sounds coming from the SB is better overall. The presentation is more opened and realistic. I hear things more clearer and pronounced. Don’t get me wrong I liked the Spin Base Max 2 but the SB in my opinion is head over heels
better than the Max 2. One’s listening experience is very subjective to that person. What one person hears might not be the same to another person. So what I’m giving you is my opinion to my listening experience and it might
differ from someone else.

Where audiophile and convenience converge

This is the best way to get audiophile level sound from the smallest footprint. Period. The Iso Goove tech works flawlessly completely isolating the base for the turntable and any volume I can throw at it. Being a massive fan of vintage turntables and streaming, I can use my Dual 701 (while not looking out of place) as easily as I can connect a streamer through the SB-One’s digital inputs. This is perfect for a dorm, office, summer home, anywhere you want to match ease of use with great sound. I have mine in the dining room where a full system would be visually and musically overpowering. In addition, the audio settings have a “panoramic” S/M/L mode that adjusts output to make it versatile enough to account for room size. Hear one for yourself and you’ll be hooked.
